Fidelus Technologies, a Cisco Gold Partner that specializes in professional and managed IT services, has acquired the networking and security services group from Something Digital, an interactive agency in New York. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The acquisition comes roughly 18 months after Fidelus and Something Digital formalized a partnership in the networking and security sectors.

Fidelus, which launched around 2002, got its start in the Cisco unified communications and collaboration sector. The company has gradually pushed deeper into networking, datacenter, wireless and security service practices.

In contrast, Something Digital’s networking team specializes in routing/switching, wireless, datacenter and security. The company planned on growing its networking business by 20 percent in 2016, according to a statement last year, but I don't know if they hit that target.

Fidelus CEO Ron Rosansky leads the combined company. Michael Andrela, director of network engineering for Something Digital, joins Fidelus as director of networking & security, professional services.

We've reached out to Fidelus for more information about the deal.
