Vince MenzioneAs the old saying goes, "It's not what you know, but who you know," And as we found from our interview with inhouseIT founders, "The company with the most connected people wins."When a company is looking to grow, and build out an executive team that can take them to the next level, they should be looking to the most connected people to join their ranks. Connections from big names in the tech industry can lead to more sales, more clients, and even more respect from others in the industry.
That very strategy has surfaced at Information Technology Procurement Sourcing (ITPS), a national provider of technology solutions and services. The MSP and CSP over the past month or so has added Vince Menzione (formerly from Microsoft), and Adam Scott (from Oracle Corp.) as executive advisors. They join an already stacked team of executives hailing from tech giants like Salesforce, IBM, and Dell EMC, among others.
Experts Plus MSP Acquisition
Those experts could give ITPS a boost as the company pushes deeper into cloud computing, remote managed services, and modernized infrastructure. And while most MSPs have a local or regional focus, ITPS's team has national and global experience.
Along with those executive advisors, ITPS has also expanding its portfolio by acquiring Lefcon, a managed IT services provider in Pittsburgh, Pa., that also has offices in Chicago and Denver. Lefcon has an established track record in providing remote managed Services and IT help desk support in such vertical markets as hospitality (hotels) and government agencies. ITPS, in contrast, typically serves commercial and K-12 education clientsJim Lefcakis, president at Lefcon, continues to run that division and also becomes executive VP and CTO for all ITPS brands. Eric Cunningham remains CEO at ITPS.
