Sophos Streamlines Channel Strategy with Unified Partner Program

Puzzle Security Managers

Sophos is rolling out a revamped partner program designed to give its ecosystem more control, more margin, and more room to evolve. This isn’t just a tune-up - it’s a structural shift that brings together the strengths of Sophos and Secureworks into one framework tailored for today’s cybersecurity partners.

The update reflects how the security market is changing. Partners are being pulled in more directions, expected to deliver deeper protection, better service, and faster results - often without more staff or time. Sophos is aiming to meet that reality with a model that adapts to the different ways partners operate, whether they’re MSPs, resellers, integrators, or niche advisors.

Chris Bell, SVP of Global Channel, Alliances and Corporate Development at Sophos told ChannelE2E that the program “builds on its world-class partner ecosystem by integrating the full catalog of Secureworks offerings into a single, streamlined platform.” That unified platform, he says, “unlocks seamless selling across the entire portfolio, empowering partners to develop programs and services aligned to their unique business models – whether they are a reseller, MSP, cyber insurer, strategic alliance, or another ecosystem partner.”

More Ways to Differentiate and Drive Revenue

For Sophos legacy partners, the new framework means access to a broader menu of tools and offerings. The full stack - endpoint, network, email, cloud, XDR, MDR, ITDR, and SIEM - is now available through the Sophos Central platform, making it easier to build differentiated services that scale. The company is also introducing a new Titanium tier to reward high-performing partners and offering Silver tier status to newly onboarded partners, giving them a head start on ROI. MSP and MSSP partners enrolled in the MSP Elevate program can also earn growth-based rebates layered on top of standard program benefits.

Tier progression now follows a points-based system tied to contract value and completion of free Sophos training. This gives partners more flexibility to move up based on how they grow.

"It’s designed so that an MSP striving to become an MSSP can build their program aligned with that goal,” Bell explains. In a move inspired by successful Secureworks initiatives, the new program also includes a formal referral system for non-traditional partners, such as cyber insurers and GSIs.

Streamlined Operations and Smarter Enablement

Operationally, Sophos has made several changes to reduce friction, especially for smaller or mid-sized partners trying to scale. “Changes to the quoting process in Sophos Central accelerate quote speeds by 500%, enabling new levels of operational velocity,” says Bell. Additional updates include license and device management dashboards, co-branded marketing tools, and a 24x7 AI Sales Assistant that answers pricing, sales, and technical queries in real time.

The new billing flexibility, volume discounts, and revenue multipliers are designed to help partners scale without tripping over operational overhead. Sophos has also expanded access to Partner Care, Renewal, and Customer Success teams to support upsell and retention efforts.

To help partners shift beyond resale, Sophos is investing in enablement. “Sophos Academy’s new MDR Guided Onboarding and sales quick-start certifications are just a subset of examples of the high-value incentives and integrated sales and marketing resources available,” Bell notes. Digital badging is also available for certified partner reps, helping end customers identify qualified providers in areas like MDR or endpoint security.

All existing partners are being automatically migrated into the new program and will have full access to the combined portfolio. While there will be a transition period for updated rebates and deal registration thresholds, partners can begin cross-selling immediately. “From day one, partners will be able to take advantage of selling Sophos’s entire catalog,” Bell says.

At the core, this relaunch is about giving partners what they’ve been asking for - more flexibility, stronger margins, and real support where it counts. Sophos isn’t overcomplicating it. They’re laying down a framework that actually helps partners grow, sharpen their edge, and compete more effectively in a market that’s only getting tougher.
