Optro, which provides an AI-powered GRC intelligence platform, has launched a new global partner program,
Optro Partner Connect, for advisory firms, solution providers, and MSPs.
Optro Partner Connect replaces the company’s previous partner frameworks with separate tracks for advisory partners and solution providers. Partners can refer opportunities, resell the platform, or deliver services around implementation, consulting, and managed GRC.
Managed GRC becomes the bigger opportunity
Implementation remains an important part of the partner opportunity, but Optro sees more demand moving toward advisory and managed services.
Scott Whitlock, Global VP of Alliances and Channels at Optro, told ChannelE2E, “While implementation services remain important, we’re seeing the biggest opportunity is shifting toward advisory and managed services. Customers aren’t just buying technology anymore and are looking for partners who can help them build a long-term governance, risk, and compliance strategy and operate those programs over time.”
The spokesperson said recurring revenue and higher margins are increasingly found in managed GRC services, with implementation serving as the first step in a longer customer relationship. This gives partners room to stay involved after deployment by helping customers run compliance programs, maintain controls, support audits, and respond to changing requirements.
New tier system looks beyond sales
The program also introduces a tiered structure based on partner skills, investments, and customer work. Optro plans to measure more than the number of deals a partner closes.
“We want to recognize partners for the value they create throughout the customer lifecycle, not just the deals they transact,” Whitlock said. “That includes investments in services delivery certifications, pipeline generation, geographic or vertical expansion, and joint go-to-market or solution-building activities.”
Optro will provide scorecards and requirements for each tier. Partners will be able to see what is expected of them and which benefits they can unlock as they grow.
Those benefits include financial incentives, technical support, deal registration, co-selling resources, and joint marketing programs.
Qualified partners will also be able to develop integrations, packaged services, and accelerators around the Optro platform. That could help firms turn their experience in areas such as financial services, health care, or other regulated industries into repeatable offerings.
Support from onboarding through delivery
A Partner Center of Excellence will support firms as they join the program and begin working with customers. Optro calls this continuing process “everboarding.” It includes training, certification, and technical guidance designed to help partners build their skills over time.
The company also plans to add AI tools across the partner experience.
“The first AI capabilities will focus on removing friction by making it easier to onboard, find answers, register opportunities, and access the resources they need without waiting on manual support,” Whitlock said. “We’ve also invested in tools to enable co-selling between our field sales teams and partners.”
Optro said it will track onboarding time, response times, partner engagement, and how much time partners spend on sales and customer delivery rather than administrative work. The GRC market is evolving, and customers still need help deploying platforms, but many also need outside support to run compliance programs, manage controls, and connect risk data across the business. This turns a software implementation into a longer-term services relationship for partners.
