We've had our eyes on CompassMSP, a Florida based MSP, since last year. At the time, the company acquired two MSPs, and appeared poised to rollup additional IT service providers in the area.

At the time, a company spokesperson told us, “Our plan is to continue to grow in the markets we serve and selectively acquire complementary MSPs that match our strategy, culture, geographic profile and service portfolio. Our acquisition efforts are focused on companies led by managers who share our vision of building a leading managed services provider."

Indeed, CompassMSP has just announced the acquisition of another Florida based MSP, Design Red Inc. (better known as Rediant). The company, launched in 2002, offers help desk support, computer support, and consulting to Miami-area small and medium-sized businesses. Rediant CEO Alex Blanco will join the leadership team at CompassMSP as part of the deal. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Chatter about M&A has growing louder across Florida. Kaseya, for instance, will host a half-day M&A gathering next week near Miami. ChannelE2E will be on hand for the conversation.
