Blackpoint Cyber Offers Free NFR Licenses for SOC to MSPs

Blackpoint Cyber, a cybersecurity solutions provider, has unveiled its Blackpoint Community Protection Program (BCPP), which is designed to help Managed Service Providers (MSPs) prove their cybersecurity value to clients.

The BCPP offers free, internal-use, 'not for resale' (NFR) licenses, along with round-the-clock monitoring by Blackpoint's Security Operations Center (SOC), allowing MSPs to prioritize business growth with the assurance that their internal environments are safeguarded.

This announcement follows Blackpoint's recent identification of vulnerabilities within the ConnectWise ScreenConnect solution, helping to discover and address potential threats allowing for remote code execution and data compromise.

Program Details and Industry Feedback

Jon Murchison, Blackpoint's Founder and CEO, emphasized the importance of MSPs having the ability to monitor and protect their business assets, as well as those of their clients, to prevent potentially catastrophic financial losses from breaches.

Murchison commented:

““Enabling MSPs to monitor and protect their business assets, and the assets of their clients’ is our top priority,” said Jon Murchison, Founder and CEO, Blackpoint. “A breach, if not isolated in time, could cause significant financial damage that most MSPs wouldn’t be able to recover from. Other cybersecurity vendors just provide internal-use NFR licenses, but that isn’t enough to ensure MSPs have the protection they need to combat an intensifying threat landscape.”

Calvin Engen, CTO of F12 and a three-year partner with Blackpoint, added:

“No other cybersecurity partner provides such a comprehensive set of tools to help me protect my clients and grow my own business. And having free NFR licenses that include SOC support is a game-changing offer for any MSP.”

Expansion of Solutions for MSPs

In addition to the BCPP, Blackpoint has launched a suite of solutions under the 'See Clearly' campaign designed to help MSPs demonstrate the value of cybersecurity to their end customers. The campaign includes:

  • Dark Web Monitoring for automated risk identification and remediation guidance.
  • Threat Assessment Summary - a monthly, comprehensive exposure report for MSPs to show to end customers about how they've been protected and thwarted attacks.
  • Blackpoint University - The company describes this as an MBA for MSPs because it offers instruction on sales, promotions, marketing and scaling effectively in addition to cybersecurity education.
  • Pooled Pricing to enable cost-effective cybersecurity solution provisioning.

It can be a challenge to demonstrate the critical importance of cybersecurity to small and mid-sized businesses. These programs are designed to help MSPs achieve that.
