  1. Keynoter announced for Build IT Live: BPO talent and training provider IT By Design has announced the first speakers and sessions for its Build IT Live event Sept. 18-20 in Orlando, Florida. Director and teamwork coach at Strategic Coach, Shannon Waller, will deliver a keynote address, “Activating Your 10x BreakTrough: How 10x is Easier Than 2x.” Waller will also lead three breakout sessions.
  2. Lacework partners with Amazon GuardDuty: Lacework’s cloud investigations are getting an upgrade with the addition of aggregated threat signals via Amazon GuardDuty intelligent threat detection. Marrying Amazon GuardDuty with other disparate alerts provides enriched Lacework composite alerts, giving customers comprehensive insights, the company said. Composite alerts will be ingested into Amazon Security Lake, giving customers the ability to pull from multiple sources so they can manage security data for more efficient storage and query.
  3. Neosystems gets new CMO: Outsourcer, IT systems integrator and managed service provider to the government contracting market, NeoSystems, has appointed Stuart Itkin as senior vice president and chief marketing officer. Itkin will drive the company’s market strategy for its managed and professional services suite along with its solutions for CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification). NeoSystems has grown from a two-person shop in 2000 to a $42 million business with more than 160 employees and 600 plus customers across the United States.
  4. Thrive gets new chief customer officer: Cybersecurity, digital transformation, and cloud managed services giant Thrive has appointed Joe Waleck as chief customer officer. In this role, Waleck will oversee all customer initiatives and the account management and customer success teams responsible for client CSAT (customer satisfaction), retention and growth. Waleck is filling the lead customer executive role that Bill McLaughlin vacated in 2022 after being promoted to president of Thrive. 
  5. New chief people officer at Veeam: Veeam today announced it has appointed Kacy Hassack as the company’s new chief people and culture officer. Coming fresh off leadership roles at Amazon Web Services, Indeed, Dell and HP, Hassack will lead all things people at Veeam, including employee engagement, attracting and nurturing talent and DEI initiatives.
