Rewst’s RoboRewsty Intelligent Assistant Gains New AI-Powered Tools for MSPs, Users

When MSP automation platform vendor Rewst launched its RoboRewsty intelligent assistant in 2024, it arrived as an important tool to help customers gain foundational capabilities for documenting workflows.
And now, in a major update, RoboRewsty is adding a broad range of new AI-powered capabilities that will help MSPs and their customers gain even more features, including workflows generated from natural language prompts, real-time assistance in using Jinja Co-Pilot, and automated log reviews and troubleshooting.

Also new is Rewst’s Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server, which gives AI agents a secure, structured interface to interact with Rewst automations, and a new MCP Trigger, which enables AI tools to initiate Rewst workflows via a lightweight API. The new features were unveiled by Rewst at its recent annual FLOW conference.

“This new release expands RoboRewsty’s role to support the entire automation lifecycle” and “is a direct response to how Rewst’s partners are evolving,” Aharon Chernin, founder and CEO of Rewst, told ChannelE2E. “As more MSPs embrace automation, they are looking for ways to scale – without adding complexity or headcount. These additions are designed to lower the barrier to entry for new users while giving advanced users powerful, AI-assisted capabilities to move faster. It is all about helping MSPs do more with less friction.”

Both MSPs and customers asked for these new features, said Chernin. “Many partners told us they wanted to ‘just describe what they wanted’ and have the platform build it. Others needed help debugging workflows and quickly pinpointing issues. Our team took that input and developed AI capabilities that remove friction across the board – from workflow creation to real-time issue resolution and documentation support.”

For MSPs and customers, the main gains from the new features are increased speed, accessibility, and scale, said Chernin. “MSPs can go from idea to automation faster, with less technical ramp-up. They can troubleshoot and refine workflows without relying on trial and error or constant documentation lookup. And by connecting AI agents directly to their automation library, they are unlocking new ways to scale services and reduce repetitive tasks across their teams.”

In addition, with the new MCP Server, AI agents can now kick off workflows and resolve issues without human intervention, said Chernin, making MSPs more efficient, more proactive, and more scalable.

About Rewst’s New MCP Server

Rewst’s new MCP Server is an intriguing product, but it arrives even as questions and worries continue to circulate in the tech world over concerns about the inherent security of MCP.

Chernin said that his company is doing the work to find safe ways to incorporate MCP in its products for customers and MSPs.

“Security is foundational to how we designed the MCP Server,” said Chernin. “It exposes a curated, permission-controlled set of workflows and data – not your entire automation environment. Using the MCP Trigger, MSPs can define exactly which workflows are available to AI agents. There is no ‘black box’ behavior here. It is transparent, auditable, and designed with least-privilege access in mind.”

The MCP Server is designed “to turn Rewst into an automation backend for intelligent systems,” said Chernin. “AI tools – like ChatGPT, Claude, or even custom copilots – can now trigger workflows, inspect available actions, and reason based on current org context. That unlocks a whole new layer of automation where agents do not just suggest next steps – they execute them. It brings MSPs closer to autonomous service delivery, where agents and automations work side by side to resolve issues, reduce response times, and free up staff to focus on high-value work.”

The new RoboRewsty features and MCP Server are being rolled out in phases starting in September and will continue throughout Q4, according to the company.

Analysts on RoboRewsty’s New Features

Jack E. Gold, president and principal analyst of J.Gold Associates, LLC, told ChannelE2E that the new Rewst AI capabilities and tools will appeal to those who have less expertise and capability in building out their own automation workflows.

“It is a time saver and productivity improver if done correctly, but it also depends on how well it was trained and whether or not you fall into its training sweet spots,” he said. “So, it is not necessarily a panacea.”

The MCP addition is also intriguing, said Gold.

“Adding the MCP capability provides a way for AI agents to interact, so yes, this is important,” he said. “But MCP is still in its infancy, so it’s not yet clear what all the pluses and minuses are for the technology. Certainly, security is one aspect. But just having a well-defined and well-implemented interface structure is critical for interactions, and with relatively few MCPs right now, we will need to see what the issues are longer term. All new tech has some gotchas.”

Another analyst, Shelly Kramer, founder and principal analyst with Kramer&Co., said adding AI features “is a continuing trend in the channel ecosystem, and there is every reason this is happening,” including “a dearth of talent with AI skills.”

To fill that void, organizations of all sizes are looking to MSPs to help them, she said.

“For MSPs, this helps them better serve their customers, meet AI-related demand, learn important skill sets, and differentiate themselves from competitors who are not yet taking the age of AI seriously,” said Kramer. “Rewst’s MCP Server and MCP Trigger are timely offerings as well and a savvy move on their part. MCP allows agents to interact with automations securely – which is what you want – and the MCP Trigger functionality serves up what they are calling a ‘lightweight API,’ which allows AI agents to initiate workflows. This is not the future, it is the present, and these are all designed to provide the support MSPs need when their clients are clamoring for help on the AI front.”
