The new integrated capabilities are available immediately to customers that use the services from both companies.Dan Candee, the CEO of Cork Protection, told ChannelE2E that the integration of the services from the two companies was developed to streamline the identification and remediation of security vulnerabilities.
“Through pre-built or custom workflows triggered by Cork’s findings, MSPs can now automate the remediation of identified risks,” said Candee. “The integration addresses a demand for simplicity and easier management from the MSP community.” The services integration also makes things easier for customers and MSPs by delivering real-time threat response while incorporating automated remediation processes that reduce manual effort, minimize human error, and accelerate the response to threats, said Candee. The integration also delivers enhanced compliance to help clients meet regulatory requirements, proactive security to quickly identify and address threats, and the automatic creation of detailed trouble tickets to streamline workflows. The new product pairing was inspired by Cork’s commitment to MSP success and a recognition of the value that automation brings to security, said Candee. “The integration is about partnering to fuel business success in the channel and to close the doors to threat actors,” he said. “It is our obligation to help the MSP ecosystem be more efficient and automate security solutions to combat increasing threats and compliance demands.”A Smart Solution for a Real Problem: AnalystsRob Enderle, principal analyst with the Enderle Group, called the integration of the products from Cork and Rewst “a solid combination, with each product dovetailing with the other. You need remediation with discovery, otherwise you are likely to become overwhelmed with problems that you do not have the resources to address. That has been a huge problem for Security Information Management (SIM) products that discover problems but lack remediation features.” The combination is one that will help MSPs and their customers, said Enderle. “This bundle both identifies and helps correct security issues, and we are in a particularly exposed place right now with a lot of hostile actors looking to do harm or mine security vulnerabilities for money.”Another analyst, Shelly Kramer, founder and principal analyst with Kramer & Co., told ChannelE2E that Cork Protection's cyber risk insight platform presents an attractive revenue center opportunity for MSPs.
“While I do not see the company's endpoint risk evaluation capabilities as particularly differentiated from any others on the market, I do, however, view the cyber warranty MSPs can package as part of the sale as a significant differentiator,” said Kramer. “This extends not only cyber coverage protection, but also the possibility of reduced cyber premiums as a result – and that is a door opener, for sure.”MSPs will be able to use the combined tools from the companies to better protect their customers, said Kramer.
“As cybersecurity remains a top priority for organizations of all sizes around the world, integrations like Cork Protection and Rewst and the risk mitigation capabilities they afford are going to be increasingly more common,” she said. “They make sense. And for MSPs, solutions like Cork Protection and Rewst give them opportunities to better serve their customers and grow revenue along the way.”
