Kyndryl Expands Microsoft Partnership to Strengthen Enterprise Data Security and AI Readiness

Kyndryl has introduced a new suite of data security services built on Microsoft Purview, to help enterprises tackle growing concerns around data privacy, risk management, and readiness for AI at scale. As organizations manage increasingly complex IT environments, the need for precise data classification, protection, and governance continues to intensify.

The new Data Security Posture Management services combine Kyndryl’s consulting capabilities with Microsoft’s data governance and compliance tools. This joint effort helps enterprises identify and protect sensitive data while simplifying compliance and risk management processes. This allows businesses to gain clearer visibility across their data estates—whether on-prem or in the cloud—while reducing exposure to breaches and regulatory lapses.

The services also go beyond basic compliance. They help streamline data discovery and classification, enforce protection policies using built-in tools like encryption and data loss prevention, and provide actionable insights to mitigate risks. The unified platform approach also helps organizations consolidate their data protection strategies across systems, easing the burden on IT teams.

This expansion builds on the strategic alliance Kyndryl and Microsoft formed in 2021, and leverages Kyndryl’s membership in the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association. It also follows Kyndryl’s recent achievement of the Microsoft Identity and Access Management Specialization, reinforcing its ability to deliver secure, integrated solutions across Microsoft’s ecosystem.
