Barracuda has expanded its
Partner Success Program with new marketing, training, and partner portal features that are designed to help MSPs and channel partners generate pipeline, build technical expertise, and move through the company’s sales process more efficiently.
The changes are built on
Barracuda’s recent program modernization and focus on areas like demand generation, technical enablement, onboarding, and access to sales support.
Michelle Hodges, senior vice president of global channels and alliances at Barracuda, told ChannelE2E, “MSPs are under constant pressure to do more with less. They’re being asked to grow recurring revenue, strengthen customer relationships, and expand security services, all while managing limited time and resources.”
Hodges said the program updates are intended to help partners create more qualified opportunities, improve margins, and expand recurring revenue. Barracuda plans to measure the program through participation in training and certification, adoption of marketing tools, engagement in growth programs, and the amount of pipeline and recurring business partners generate.
“We’ll measure success by partner outcomes,” Hodges said. “That includes increased participation in enablement and certification programs, stronger adoption of marketing and demand-generation tools, deeper engagement in growth initiatives, and ultimately whether partners are building more pipeline, winning more business, and expanding recurring revenue with Barracuda.”
Barracuda adds through-channel marketing support
A new through-channel marketing automation platform will give partners access to co-branded campaigns, social media content, email syndication, and managed campaign execution. Barracuda said the tools are meant to help partners run demand-generation programs without having to build every campaign and asset internally.
The company also plans to introduce a Partner Locator that will connect customers with certified Barracuda partners. The initiative could give MSPs and resellers another source of inbound opportunities while helping customers identify partners with relevant product knowledge and technical credentials.
Barracuda said participation will be based on demonstrated expertise rather than partner size, giving smaller MSPs an opportunity to compete for visibility.
“One of our goals with the Partner Locator is to create opportunities based on expertise, not simply size,” Hodges said. “Smaller MSPs often bring deep specialization, strong customer relationships, and a high level of service, and we want to help them showcase those strengths.”
She said smaller partners can improve their visibility by completing certifications, earning Mastery Program badges, and remaining active in the broader partner program.
“For MSPs looking to stand out, my advice is simple: invest in expertise, engage with the program, and take advantage of the resources available,” Hodges said. “We want customers to find qualified partners who are the right fit for their needs, and we want MSPs of all sizes to have the opportunity to be discovered and grow.”
Consolidated partner resources in one portal
Campaign automation, certifications, and partner portals are now common across vendor programs. Barracuda is trying to distinguish its approach by consolidating its reseller, MSP, services, and support programs into one partner experience.
Partners will use one program and portal rather than moving between separate systems based on how they sell, support, or deliver Barracuda products. The portal will include role-based segmentation, automation, and guided journeys for activities such as onboarding and co-selling.
“MSPs tell us the same thing over and over: they don’t need more tools. They need solutions that are unified, intuitive, and actually help them grow,” Hodges said. “We’ve consolidated our resell, MSP, services, and support motions into a single, unified partner experience.”
The practical test will be whether the portal reduces the administrative work partners face when looking for resources, registering opportunities, completing training, and working with Barracuda sales teams. For smaller MSPs, time spent navigating vendor systems can pull technical and sales staff away from customer work.
“For busy MSPs, eliminating complexity isn’t cosmetic. It directly impacts productivity, activation speed and growth,” Hodges said.
Mastery Program adds technical and sales badges
Barracuda is also expanding its Mastery Program with more role-based courses, technical labs, and advanced sales and technical badges. The badges are intended to give partners a way to demonstrate expertise across Barracuda products and services. The company is also adding AI-focused learning paths and credentials as more MSPs look for guidance on how to apply AI to security operations, service delivery, and customer engagement.
“We’re investing heavily in helping partners build and benefit from AI expertise,” Hodges said. “That includes expanding AI-focused learning paths and credentials, and embedding intelligence throughout BarracudaONE.”
Hodges said Barracuda wants to make AI useful across the partner lifecycle, including sales, margins, security operations, compliance, and internal efficiency.
“The goal is to make AI practical, accessible, and valuable, not another technology partners have to figure out on their own,” she said.
The program connects with BarracudaONE
Barracuda is linking the Partner Success Program more closely with
BarracudaONE so partners can move between training, customer engagement, sales activity, and service delivery through a more connected workflow.
“A key part of this evolution is the tighter integration between the Barracuda Partner Success Program and the BarracudaONE cybersecurity platform,” Hodges said. “BarracudaONE provides a connected, intelligent foundation across customer engagement, enablement, and growth, while the Partner Success Program equips MSPs with the training, resources and go-to-market support needed to convert those insights into real business impact.”
Barracuda is also leaving room for partners that operate mixed security environments. Many MSPs use Barracuda products alongside competing email security, endpoint, network, and managed security tools, particularly when supporting customers with existing technology investments.
“MSPs want flexibility because every customer environment is different,” Hodges said. “Barracuda remains committed to an open ecosystem. Many MSPs support customers in multi-vendor environments, and that’s simply the reality of the market.”
She said the program will support partners whether they expand customer use of BarracudaONE or continue to deploy Barracuda products as part of a broader vendor stack.
“Our goal isn’t to force partners into a specific model. Our goal is to help them succeed,” Hodges said. “Whether an MSP is expanding its use of BarracudaONE or delivering Barracuda solutions alongside other technologies, we’re investing in the enablement, tools, and support that help them meet customer needs and grow their business.”
