Upwind has raised $250 million in Series B funding, bringing total funding to $430 million. The round was led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with participation from Salesforce Ventures and Picture Capital, alongside a broad group of existing investors. The funding marks the next phase of the company’s growth as it focuses on scaling runtime-first cloud security for enterprises building and operating modern, AI-driven applications. The raise comes amid rapid expansion. Over the past year, Upwind reported 900% year-over-year revenue growth and 200% logo growth as enterprises looked for better visibility into what is actually exploitable in cloud environments. As cloud architectures become more dynamic, static posture-based security has struggled to keep pace, often generating high alert volume without clear operational relevance. Runtime context has become central to how security teams prioritize risk and respond faster without slowing delivery.Upwind’s platform is built around runtime evidence across cloud workloads, applications, and identities. The company has continued to expand its footprint globally, growing its team to more than 300 employees and increasing its presence across the U.S., U.K., Israel, and parts of APAC. Its customer base spans large global enterprises across industries, using runtime signals to reduce noise and focus on risks that matter in production environments. With the new funding, Upwind plans to accelerate product development and go-to-market execution while expanding its ecosystem. Priorities include deeper investments across data, AI, and code, extending runtime security closer to developers, and supporting enterprise-scale adoption through partners and cloud providers. The round reflects growing demand for security models designed around real-time cloud behavior as AI and distributed architectures become the norm.
