ECi Software Solutions has upgraded its Naverisk remote monitoring and management (RMM) and service desk solution for MSPs.

The new release, Naverisk 2017, provides MSPs with a modern RMM and service desk solution for technology services management and automation, Naverisk Managing Director Mike Inzerillo told ChannelE2E. It is the fourth RMM platform release for Naverisk within the past six months.

Naverisk 2017 features:

  • Redesigned SNMP discovery and monitoring engine to help MSPs discover network devices and apply SNMP monitoring templates to automate their management.
  • Free Splashtop remote control upgrade.
  • Built-in ticketing and workflow tools that allow MSPs to utilize HTML in email messages and responses.
  • Linux agent that enables teams to monitor, script, remote control, auto-remediate, track tickets and billable time and more against Unix and Linux devices.
  • Integration with ECi e-automate business management software.

Naverisk 2017 is now available for upgrade for all on-premise customers. Also, Naverisk customers using the cloud interface are scheduled for upgrade this weekend.

What Is Naverisk?

Launched in 2012, Naverisk provides remote monitoring, professional services automation (PSA), remote control and device management tools for MSPs and IT professionals. Naverisk helps MSPs "work smarter, faster and better than other RMM and PSA solutions on the market because ticketing and device monitoring and management are part of the system, not separate integrations," according to ECi.

Naverisk 2017 is a "great step forward" for MSPs, Inzerillo said in a prepared statement. The release incorporated guidance and feedback from Naverisk customers, Inzerillo noted, and may deliver "major improvements and additional capabilities for MSPs."

ECi previously released version 2016 of Naverisk in September. Naverisk 2016 included the RMM service auto-remediation workflow engine and other features to "optimize, automate, track and support IT management functions," ECi said in a company statement.

RMM Providers Make Moves

Although the RMM market has matured quite a bit in recent years, point upgrades and enhancements arrive regularly. Most are now quarterly releases, though timeframes can vary.

Recent upgrade examples include Kaseya and SolarWinds MSP.

Kaseya in January launched VSA 9.4, an updated version of its RMM platform. VSA 9.4 features remote control capabilities for PCs, printers, switches and routers, along with cloud backup capabilities powered by Acronis.

Meanwhile, SolarWinds MSP in December unveiled a new version of its RMM platform. The release, N-central 11, included the integration of SolarWinds MSP Backup & Recovery that allows MSPs to deploy backup and disaster recovery (BDR) software to their managed devices.
