“WatchGuard’s Firebox appliances continue to evolve to meet the needs of the organizations our MSPs protect,” Ryan Poutre, Director of Product Management, Network Security at WatchGuard told ChannelE2E. “The new T Series delivers high-speed interfaces and simplified advanced security, plus centralized management in WatchGuard Cloud that ties directly into our XDR platform.”
Performance Gains That Matter
MSPs aren't just looking for performance on paper - they need it where it actually counts. Across the board, the new T Series appliances deliver faster UTM throughput, stronger VPN speeds, and hardware that stays cool without excessive fan noise. That translates to fewer support tickets, smoother service delivery, and less frustration for end users working remotely or in hybrid setups.“Throughout the planning and development of our new Firebox hardware line, we reviewed feedback and suggestions from our MSPs to ensure that we could create a solution that works for their business and their customers’ businesses,” Poutre said. “MSPs don’t have to choose between performance and security.”
Smarter Licensing for Monthly Revenue Models
Licensing can make or break the economics of managed services. WatchGuard’s approach leans into flexibility with its FlexPay program, giving partners the choice of term, subscription, or point-based options. This makes it easier for MSPs to match how they buy security tools with how they sell them to customers—especially in a market shifting toward predictable, recurring revenue.“We continue to see MSPs shift to monthly options, especially in our SaaS products, but also in our hardware business,” Poutre said. “Delivering our products in this manner allows MSPs to offer more to their customers, without bearing the heavy cost of traditional term licenses.”
Eco-Efficiency Meets Practical Security
Another thread running through the T Series launch is sustainability - not as a marketing hook, but as part of product design. All new Firebox appliances ship in reduced packaging, use low-power components, and aim for quieter, cooler operation without sacrificing capability.“We see this as a responsibility of the manufacturers,” said Poutre. “We’re proud of the updates we’ve made to our Firebox packaging and contents to reduce and remove items that end up in a landfill.”
“MSPs we partner with trust that WatchGuard will deliver a solution they can proudly brand and deliver to their customers,” Poutre added. “It’s about security that enables business, not security that gets in the way.”
