Slide targets SaaS backup sprawl with Microsoft 365 expansion

Slide is expanding its backup platform to include Microsoft 365, offering managed service providers (MSPs) a unified solution for protecting SaaS data within their existing business continuity and disaster recovery framework. The company plans a broader release early next year after a preview for MSP partners this week, as first reported by CRN.

The move aligns with Slide's strategy to create a comprehensive backup platform catering to how MSPs manage data across diverse on-premises and cloud environments. CEO Michael Fass highlighted that the platform's architecture, initially built for business continuity and disaster recovery (BCDR), is designed for adaptability to various workloads. Microsoft 365 was identified as the next logical addition, driven by significant partner demand for SaaS data protection. Slide aims to integrate Microsoft 365 backup seamlessly into existing workflows, allowing MSPs to manage, search, and verify SaaS backups through a single interface, rather than through separate products. This unified approach, coupled with features like native end-to-end encryption and simplified data verification, is intended to enhance efficiency, security, and responsiveness for MSPs and their clients.
