Cybersecurity isn’t just a technical issue, it’s a human one. But most small and midsize businesses (SMBs) are still managing them separately: awareness training on one side, firewalls and detection tools on the other. The result? Gaps that attackers are more than happy to exploit.
NINJIO and
Defendify are trying to close that gap. Announced at Black Hat USA 2025,
their new partnership delivers a unified cybersecurity solution that tackles both human risk and technical threats - without expecting already stretched SMB teams to act as system integrators.
"Now we are creating a broader partnership to allow companies to use the full NINJIO suite of products, along with Defendify’s suite, through NINJIO,” Tom Richards, Chief Marketing Officer at NINJIO told ChannelE2E. "This offers one point for contracting, onboarding, support, and customer success.”
Together, the companies aim to provide SMBs with a way to both educate employees and secure their environments, through one coordinated platform. That includes everything from storytelling-based security training and phishing simulations to MDR, vulnerability management, endpoint protection, and email threat defense.
Streamlining Cybersecurity for Lean IT Teams
The partnership is designed with real-world constraints in mind. SMBs often deal with alert fatigue, limited headcount, and the operational drag of juggling vendors that don’t talk to each other.
“This is one of the key insights behind this partnership,” Richards said. “One core offering here is a fully staffed managed detection and response (MDR) security team, who monitor and respond to alerts and incidents 24/7/365... This ‘force multiplier’ allows understaffed IT and security teams to cover more ground without adding staff.”
By integrating NINJIO’s people-first approach with Defendify’s technical capabilities, the combined solution helps ensure that user behavior and system defenses reinforce each other. It also removes the overhead of vetting, purchasing, and managing siloed tools.
Support and escalation paths are already built in. NINJIO’s customer success team connects directly with Defendify’s, giving both sides shared visibility into a customer’s security posture. That way, alerts and issues don’t get passed around - they get resolved.
Built for MSPs, Ready for Rollout
While the focus is on SMBs, this platform is also tailored for the MSPs that serve them. The companies have developed partner packages, onboarding workflows, and pricing models that allow MSPs to build profitable services around the combined offering.
“The MSP community is going to see a huge benefit operationally and financially by using this unified platform approach,” said Richards. “We have packages and enablement tools to ensure their ability to find success.”
Onboarding is handled centrally through NINJIO, with support from Defendify’s team to ensure technical components are properly integrated. And for customers already using separate tools, there’s flexibility: Defendify’s modules can either replace legacy tools or integrate with them, particularly in the case of MDR.
The partnership is now live, and the joint solution is available to new and existing customers. For SMBs and MSPs, it’s not just a simpler way to manage cybersecurity - it’s a smarter way to approach it, built around how real-world attacks actually unfold.
