Malwarebytes, a company specializing in real-time cyber protection, has announced updates to its multi-tenant console, ThreatDown OneView.

These enhancements, aimed at Managed Service Providers (MSPs), include advanced device control, a new Security Advisor dashboard, and improved reporting options. The company credits its channel-first strategy for significant growth in the MSP sector.

Company's Strategic Focus on Channel Partnerships

In a press release, Malwarebytes attributed its recent growth in the MSP sector to its strategic focus on channel partnerships.

Brian Thomas, SVP of Global Channels at Malwarebytes, said: "Malwarebytes provides our partners with a security management platform that offers control and guidance. Our commitment to a channel-first approach this year has helped foster growth and deliver value to our partners. In 2024, we plan to continue enhancing our channel partnerships."

Recent Developments and Market Response

Malwarebytes' product, ThreatDown, which was previously known as Malwarebytes for Business, is designed to provide cybersecurity solutions for organizations with limited IT resources. The company reports a 33% year-over-year growth in MSP adoption of its Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solution and a 54% average quarterly growth in its Managed Detection and Response (MDR) service.

Richard Martin, CEO, Scinary Cybersecurity, commented:

"ThreatDown has been a valuable addition to our security suite, aiding in our growth and simplifying cybersecurity for IT teams. Its integration into our processes has been seamless, and we've received positive feedback from clients on its ease of implementation and use."

New Features in ThreatDown OneView

Malwarebytes' recent updates to the ThreatDown OneView console aim to streamline threat management for MSPs. These updates include:

  • Security Advisor: An analysis tool that generates a cybersecurity health score and offers improvement recommendations.
  • Advanced Device Control: This function scans and quarantines USB devices connected to endpoints to defend against USB malware.
  • Enhanced Reporting: Improved reporting features in OneView facilitate more efficient demonstration of ROI to customers.
  • Close Software for Patching: This Patch Management feature allows administrators to force close software applications before initiating updates, minimizing the risk associated with outdated software.
