LlamaIndex has announced minority equity investments from Databricks and KPMG LLP, marking a key milestone in its mission to streamline the development of agentic AI solutions built on enterprise data. The funding will support further development of LlamaIndex's core offerings—LlamaCloud and LlamaParse—which are used to build intelligent systems that can reason over complex, unstructured documents.

LlamaIndex offers a modular framework that enables organizations to build production-ready Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) applications and knowledge agents. LlamaParse provides parsing capabilities for dense document formats, including complex tables and embedded content, while LlamaCloud offers a managed platform for document ingestion, indexing, and retrieval workflows—available in both SaaS and on-premises environments. These tools are designed to help enterprises unlock the value of internal data while maintaining control and flexibility over implementation.

The investments from Databricks and KPMG reflect growing enterprise demand for tools that can bridge the gap between large language models and proprietary business data. Databricks is backing LlamaIndex through its AI Fund, an initiative focused on supporting startups that enhance or integrate with its Data Intelligence Platform. KPMG Ventures, which has also invested in AI startups such as Ema and Wokelo, is focused on building partnerships that enable applied AI solutions across industries like finance, energy, and healthcare.

By combining their platforms, LlamaIndex and Databricks aim to deliver integrated solutions for customers managing both structured and unstructured data. This collaboration positions LlamaIndex to accelerate adoption across industries where secure, scalable, and customizable LLM infrastructure is critical for deploying AI at scale.
