Cynomi’s New Partner Program Eases vCISO Services Adoption for MSPs, MSSPs

When Cynomi announced its $37 million Series B round in April, one of the goals company executives set for the money was to expand its partnership ecosystem and drive growth and scalability for the for MSSPs and MSPs it works with.

Three months later, the virtual CISO platform maker is showing its partners how some of the money will help them.

The Israeli startup on Thursday unveiled a new partner program that is designed to help MSSPs and MSPs drive recurring revenue streams by in part streamlining the process for working with Cynomi, which is promising minimal overhead costs and no installation or setup.

The ELEVATE program provides a tiered structure and includes expanded support, training, tools, and co-marketing opportunities, with partners getting access to more valuable assets and resources as they move up the tiers.

“This investment is a major milestone for us, and it’s all about doubling down on what’s working,” Cynomi co-founder and CEO David Primor told ChannelE2E. The company “has always been a 100% channel-focused company. Our success is entirely tied to the success of our partners. The $37 million raised in our Series B round is being strategically invested to further empower MSPs, MSSPs, and consultancies who rely on us to scale their cybersecurity offerings.”

More Partners and More Profit

The goal is not just to grow the number of partners for Cynomi, but to better help each grow profits, be more efficient, expand their margins, and differentiate themselves in what is becoming a highly competitive market, Primor said, noting that the company has more than 300 partners that including not only MSSPs and MSPs but also consultancies and integrators.

A vCISO is essentially a part-time cybersecurity pro who works on a contract for companies that need the expertise that comes with the CISO position but may not have the money or in-house talent to fill the slot. Once mostly used by larger corporations, vCISOs are now being embraced by SMBs, and the result can be seen in the market’s growth. According to Business Research Insights, the global vCISO market is expected to expand from $1.06 billion last year to $1.48 billion by 2032.

In a survey Cynomi released earlier this month of 200 security leaders, high to moderate demand for vCISO services hit 96%, and MSSPs and MSPs are responding. The survey found that 67% said they offer the services – a significant jump from the 21% that said the same thing in 2024, and almost half of those that don’t now plan to before the end of this year. Another 27& are aiming for 2026.

The lineup of vendors also is growing, with name like FRSecure, SideChannel, SBS CyberSecurity, and Fractional CISO among the crowd.

AI and Security-First

Primor said Cynomi differentiates from its competitors with a security-first approach, arguing that many other platforms “prioritize compliance checklists or GRC workflows. We believe compliance should be the outcome of strong cybersecurity rather than the starting point. Cynomi is built from the ground up to help service providers deliver true cyber resilience, not just pass audits.”

In addition, the platform uses AI to automate up to 70% of the manual work that comes with security and compliance, with Cynomi including CISO-level expertise embedded in the platform, “allowing even junior staff to deliver expert-level service. That’s a massive boost in productivity and scalability for service providers,” he said.

The new ELEVATE program will enhance the benefits for MSSPs and MSPs, according to the CEO. Cynomi sells only through partners to allow them to growth their reach without running into conflicts with the company and allows partners to quickly ramp up so they can quickly help their customers, no matter the size of their teams.

It also includes training, tools, marketing, and technical resources and helps identify new revenue streams via prospecting, assessments, and opportunities to upsell.

“ELEVATE is a big leap forward,” Primor said. “Previously, we supported partners with great technology and some ad hoc enablement. ELEVATE formalizes and dramatically enhances that support.
