Bitdefender and CYPFER Partner to Deliver Full-Cycle Cyber Resilience

Bitdefender has partnered with digital forensics and incident response specialist CYPFER to develop a unified approach to cyber resilience, encompassing prevention, detection, investigation, and recovery. The collaboration adds advanced investigation and recovery services to Bitdefender’s portfolio, including GravityZone, its unified platform for security, risk analytics, and compliance, and its managed detection and response (MDR) offerings.

The goal is simple: to give organizations a single, coordinated process that connects detection, investigation, and recovery, without the handoffs and delays that often slow incident response.

David Shen, Senior Director of Product Management at Bitdefender, told ChannelE2E that the partnership stands apart from typical vendor collaborations.

“The partnership is not in name only. It actually integrates key workflows between Bitdefender MDR and CYPFER DFIR, giving the customer the quickest path to recovery. Whereas the MDR and DFIR vendors in the market typically work at arm's length, teams across Bitdefender and CYPFER collaborate and communicate continuously during the engagement.”

From Detection to Recovery

With cyberattacks continuing to evolve in sophistication and speed, the ability to transition from threat containment to system restoration has become critical. Bitdefender’s prevention and detection capabilities now directly connect with CYPFER’s forensics and recovery operations, ensuring organizations can identify threats, analyze evidence, and return to business quickly - all within one integrated framework.

Shen explained that the offering is designed for flexibility and immediacy. “The service is offered on-demand only and exactly when the customer needs it,” he said. “In addition, retainers are available through CYPFER.”

This structure means organizations don’t need a standing subscription to activate expert-level response. Instead, they can engage the joint Bitdefender-CYPFER team the moment a breach occurs, confident that containment, investigation, and restoration will happen as one continuous process.

Scaling Expertise and Intelligence Globally

Bitdefender’s threat intelligence network, powered by millions of endpoints and multiple SOCs, now feeds directly into CYPFER’s forensic investigations, helping both teams accelerate containment and analysis. The result is a continuous cycle of defense and improvement, with shared insights strengthening prevention and recovery efforts over time.

The partnership also extends to Bitdefender’s global partner and MSP ecosystem. “MSPs and partners are able to promote the DFIR service to their customers, giving businesses access to world-class services,” Shen added.

This gives managed providers a way to offer incident response and recovery services alongside their existing security offerings, expanding their role as trusted advisors to clients.

By integrating DFIR capabilities directly into its portfolio, Bitdefender is addressing a growing demand for end-to-end cyber resilience. For customers, the collaboration offers a single, coordinated response, from early detection to complete recovery, supported by global expertise and unified workflows.

The partnership reflects a larger industry trend toward convergence, where prevention, investigation, and recovery are no longer treated as separate disciplines but as interconnected stages of the same resilience cycle.
