Webroot Endpoint & Network Security Gains 1,900 MSPs In Six Months

Webroot endpoint and network security is making strides with MSPs. The evidence: During the first six months of Webroot's current fiscal year, the company added over 1,900 MSPs, compared to 2,000 for all of the previous fiscal year.

Webroot now boasts more than 8,000 MSP customers worldwide and continues to explore ways to extend its reach in the managed services market.

"We solve the security headaches of MSPs, so they can focus on growing their business," Webroot CEO Dick Williams said in a company statement.

Webroot's Performance: A Closer Look

The second quarter of FY17 marked the 12th consecutive quarter of double-digit business growth for Webroot. Overall, Webroot posted bookings growth of 46 percent year-over-year and consumer segment growth of 9 percent in the timeframe.

Webroot recently partnered with European specialist IT distributor CMS Distribution and London-based MSP Conosco. The partnerships enable Webroot to expand its UK presence, according to the company.

Also, Webroot acquired CyberFlow Analytics in the first quarter of FY17. The addition of the CyberFlow FlowScape network behavioral analytics solution "extends Webroot's leadership in advanced machine learning-based cybersecurity to the network layer and enhances the company's ability to address the explosion of internet-connected devices," the company said in a prepared statement.

"With our CyberFlow acquisition, we are adding to the predictive power of our solutions across both endpoints and the network layer to secure over 138,000 businesses and millions of consumers," Williams noted.

Webroot Integrations

Webroot has also expanded its integrations. with various MSP software providers.

Among the latest integrations: Kaseya this month announced the integration of Webroot SecureAnywhere Business Endpoint Protection (WSAB) as a module into Kaseya VSA. Together, the companies are offering the Webroot Kaseya Module to provide MSPs with endpoint security management against malware, ransomware and various cyber threats.

The Webroot Kaseya Module gives MSPs "simplified and automated endpoint security management that ensures each individual endpoint is constantly monitored and protected," Webroot pointed out in a company statement. In addition, the Webroot Kaseya Module provides access to the Webroot Unity application programming interface (API), enabling security administrators to leverage additional Webroot endpoint data and services.

MSPs can access the Webroot Kaseya Module for VSA via the Kaseya Automation Exchange marketplace. Webroot also will demonstrate the module at the Kaseya Connect 2017 user and partner conference in May.
