Share

FreshLime has acquired Dasheroo, a cloud-based platform that builds KPI (key performance indicator) dashboards for SMBs.

"We’ve been watching Dasheroo since they went live in 2015," wrote FreshLime CEO Jay Bean in a blog. "They have built one of the most intuitive, rich small business data analytics dashboards we’ve seen on the market. Data is no longer scary for SMBs with Dasheroo’s simple way of creating detailed KPI Dashboards and Insights. It’s understandable and easy to use. And with FreshLime, it’s actionable and it drives meaningful results for the small business."

Dasheroo's KPI platform sounds like it has been gaining momentum. In the past year Dasheroo’s 29,914 users in 150 countries have linked over 52,791 data sources to create 149,033 KPI insights, FreshLime says. Still, we don't know Dasheroo's revenues or headcount. Also, financial terms for the buyout were not disclosed.

Marketing, Sales KPIs for Small Businesses

FreshLime already focuses on a "retention marketing platform" that connects the dots between online marketing, offline marketing and offline transactions, the company says . The net result: FreshLime is designed to "drive new purchases, online reviews, referrals, and more loyal customer relationships." By acquiring Dasheroo, FreshLime will offer SMB customers "greater insight into their business," the company asserts.

The Dasheroo platform, FreshLime claims, delivers:

  • All marketing, customer and transactional data in a secure cloud-based platform.
  • All data points integrated to the most popular small businesses apps.
  • Accessible anytime, anywhere desktop and mobile support.

SMBs Struggle with KPIs

Small business KPI dashboards are increasingly popular for finance, sales, marketing and other business activities. But that doesn't mean SMBs are succeeding with KPIs.

In addition to marketing and sales KPIs, channel partners have been exploring real-time business KPIs, as well as KPIs for managed and cloud services. Not sure where to start? These 10 small business KPIs can provide some guidance.
