Dell, Nvidia, Elastic Target Unstructured Data Bottlenecks

Dell Technologies is teaming up with Nvidia and Elastic to make it easier for enterprises to find and work with their unstructured data, reports CRN. The partnership integrates Elastic’s search technology and Nvidia’s AI acceleration into the Dell AI Data Platform, enabling natural language search across massive data lakes. The goal is to remove the friction that slows down AI adoption by indexing and organizing both structured and unstructured content as soon as it’s ingested.

The platform uses three key engines. A federated SQL engine lets users run instant queries across multiple sources without moving the data. The unstructured data engine, powered by Elasticsearch, supports full-text, semantic, and vector searches, making it possible to locate everything from documents to video clips within seconds. A data processing engine built on Apache Spark handles ETL and machine learning workloads, preparing and analyzing data in real time.

On the hardware side, Dell is rolling out validated designs for its PowerEdge R7725 and R770 servers, equipped with Nvidia RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell GPUs, along with PowerScale and ObjectScale storage arrays. The R7725, in particular, is the first 2U server to integrate Nvidia’s AI Data Platform reference design, creating a combined hardware and software stack that’s ready to deploy.

By combining Dell’s infrastructure, Nvidia’s GPU acceleration, and Elastic’s search capabilities, the offering is designed to give organizations faster, more context-aware access to their data.
