Vertical Market MSPs: CalTech Embraces Associations for Customer Engagement

Share

CalTech, an MSP that specializes in the financial services vertical, is proving that working with local associations can help them reach vertical market customers more easily.

In this case, the company announced this week it's being endorsed by The Community Bankers Association of Oklahoma (CBAO) as it brings its IT services and support to community banks in the region. CalTech says the MSP's solutions allow local banks to become more efficient, secure, and exceed regulatory requirements.

This isn’t the first time the company has been involved with local banking associations. In 2013, CalTech became a member of both the Missouri Bankers Association and Kansas Bankers Association. In 2005 they joined the Independent Bankers Association of Texas (IBAT).

Building Relationships

Allan Rodarte, CalTech's marketing manager, tells ChannelE2E working will local associations has helped the MSP make stronger connections. “They are great advocates for the community banking industry, which our entire team is passionate about supporting,” he says.

“Initially, our desire to join these associations was focused on leads and opportunities. As a result of our involvement, however, we continue to become a better partner for our banks through education and exposure to the message they are taking to regulators and legislators alike. We believe in serving our customers in a multitude of ways. Involvement with a trade association that supports their desire to improve their local communities through financial literacy education and political action committees just happens to be one.”

CalTech offers technology specially-suited for financial institutions through its business-aligned IT strategies and support. The company has worked within the financial industry for nearly 30 years and says its solutions can increase a financial institution's profitability, productivity, and efficiency while ensuring the security and prosperity of the business.

Vertical Market Momentum

The company appears to have vertical market momentum. Indeed, CalTech was ranked No. 12 on ChannelE2E's Top 100 Vertical Market MSPs list for 2017.

For its part, CBOA is a member-driven trade association providing services and assistance to community banks owned, chartered, and headquartered in the state of Oklahoma. Rodarte says their endorsement is an indication that CalTech’s strategy is working. “Our desire to help local banks remain independent is evident to CBAO, and over the next few years we will continue to prove that CBAO has made a great choice for their members,” he says.
