MSP M&A: Ntiva Acquires MXOtech for Midwest Managed Services Expansion

Ntiva, a managed IT services provider (MSP) backed by private equity firm PSP Capital, has acquired midwest MSP MXOtech. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Ntiva, founded in 2004, is based in McLean, Virginia. The company has more than 400 employees, according to a spokesperson for the firm. Ntiva’s areas of expertise include IT consulting, cloud computing, managed services, onsite and remote support, network design, procurement, Exchange hosting, off-site backups, CIO services, disaster recovery, business continuity planning, cybersecurity, business telephony and IT services.

MXOtech, founded in 2005, is based in Chicago, Illinois. The company has 40 employees listed on LinkedIn. MXOtech’s areas of expertise include IT networking, hosting, hardware and software systems support, portals and Sharepoint, application development, reporting, remote access implementation, health care, retail, distribution, manufacturing and custom development.

The acquisition strengthens Ntiva's presence in the Midwest U.S. and adds unique skills and expertise that will benefit both Ntiva and MXOtech clients across the country, the company said.

In addition to managed IT services and support, MXOtech offers a range of digital transformation services including custom-built web and mobile applications, system integrations and solutions for managing and accessing critical business information.
