Microsoft Partner Acquisition: AppDirect Buys

Subscription commerce platform company AppDirect has acquired fellow Microsoft partner, a Canadian cloud technology provider, for an undisclosed amount.

The acquisition expands AppDirect’s geographical footprint into Canada while will be able to “significantly” scale its existing business and expand its portfolio of solutions, the companies said.

Founded in 2005 as an online backup and recovery company, provides a portfolio of cloud solutions for more than 1,200 technology partners that serve business customers across Canada.

Combining’s Microsoft Azure and Business 365 experience with AppDirect's AppSmart Dynamics 365 capabilities will give and AppSmart Advisors access to end-to-end Microsoft Cloud capabilities, the companies said.

As part of the acquisition, AppDirect says it will onboard the existing leadership team of and enable the teams to offer additional solutions with over 1,000 products currently available from its AppSmart B2B technology marketplace and ecosystem, which connects technology buyers with expert advisors.
