Greenwave Acquires Predixion: IoT Analytics, Managed Services Converge

Share

Greenwave Systems, which specializes in IoT software and managed services platforms, has acquired Predixion Software, a developer of real-time visual edge analytics software for the Internet of Things, the companies say.

The net result: Greenwave’s AXON Platform will gain visual analytics, enabling real-time data insights across one of the world’s largest connected networks, the company claims. The platform spans about 8 million households and 4 million mobile devices so far. Key adopters include massive service providers like Verizon, Frontier Communications, IBM and E.ON. On the flip-side, Predixion's established customers include Intel, Wind River, Accenture and GE.

Numerous IT management platform providers are pushing deeper into the IoT and analytics markets. A key example: LogicNow, part of SolarWinds MSP, continues to expand its LogicCards capabilities -- a big data platform that will gather and manage more and more IoT data over time.

I'm not suggesting that Greenwave and LogicNow are competing head-on, but the lines between managed services, IoT and analytics are disappearing across the market.
