Vicarius has joined the Pax8 Marketplace as the exclusive provider of vulnerability management and remediation solutions. The move brings Vicarius’ vRx platform, built to simplify and automate vulnerability remediation, to over 40,000 MSPs that depend on Pax8 for cloud-based security and business tools.
For many MSPs, vulnerability management has long been about detection: identifying risks, scanning systems, and producing reports. But as cyber threats multiply and vulnerabilities grow more complex, clients are asking for more. They want their MSPs to go beyond spotting problems and actually fix them.
Tanya Alfonso, VP of North America at Vicarius, told ChannelE2E, “Traditionally, MSPs have focused on the detection phase of the vulnerability management lifecycle - identifying risks, running scans, and producing reports. However, with the rapid increase in both the volume and complexity of vulnerabilities, clients now expect more. They don’t want to just receive lists of issues; they want their trusted MSPs to actively remediate those risks and help strengthen their overall security posture.”
This evolution creates both opportunity and pressure for MSPs. Moving from detection to remediation introduces new tools, workflows, and staffing needs. Alfonso said Vicarius designed its platform to make that transition easier.
“Our platform consolidates the entire vulnerability management cycle, from discovery to remediation, into a single unified solution. MSPs can manage everything in one place without dealing with tool sprawl, fragmented data, or extra costs.”
Bringing Automation and Remediation Together
At the heart of Vicarius’ value is its focus on automation. The vRx platform enables MSPs to act faster and more consistently across client environments, removing the friction that often comes with manual patching or multiple point tools.
“Vicarius focuses on remediation and automation,” Alfonso said. “We provide MSPs with three built-in remediation methods that go beyond traditional patching, all of which can be automated or manually scheduled. This gives them the flexibility to deliver proactive, continuous protection at scale—something that has not been available to MSPs until now.”
Those methods include standard patching, the company’s Patchless Protection technology for vulnerabilities that lack available patches, and a scripting engine that enables configuration-based fixes. The combination gives MSPs a broader set of options to address risk without waiting for vendor updates or juggling multiple platforms.
Pax8 Partnership Brings Scale and Simplicity
Through Pax8, MSPs can now access and deploy Vicarius vRx directly through the same Marketplace they already use for other cloud and security solutions. This makes it easier to standardize how vulnerability management is delivered across clients and transform it from a manual service into a repeatable, revenue-generating one.
“This integration changes the game for MSPs,” Alfonso said. “It shifts vulnerability management from a manual, reactive task into a proactive, revenue-generating service. Together, Pax8 and Vicarius are helping partners standardize remediation delivery, reduce time-to-fix, and strengthen client security outcomes.”
Beyond access to the technology itself, Pax8’s Marketplace framework allows MSPs to handle procurement, billing, and bundling with other tools in one place. The company’s Voyageur Alliance Program adds incentives and promotional bundles that encourage partners to expand their portfolios with new services like remediation-as-a-service.
Enabling Partners to Scale and Grow
Pax8’s enablement ecosystem, anchored by Pax8 Academy, helps partners reduce risk, improve efficiency, and grow their business. Vicarius complements these goals by giving MSPs the tools to deliver measurable, continuous security outcomes.
“Vicarius enables MSPs to move beyond visibility or basic patching with a proactive, continuous approach to the entire vulnerability lifecycle,” Alfonso said. That shift supports frameworks such as CIS Controls and helps MSPs align their offerings with client compliance needs.
Efficiency is another driver. Many MSPs still rely on manual patching and case-by-case remediation. “Vicarius automates key workflows to eliminate repetitive tasks and reduce technician burden,” Alfonso noted. “That allows partners to manage more endpoints across multiple clients while maintaining consistency and scale.”
She added that this evolution also opens new revenue streams. “Client expectations around managed security are creating fresh opportunities for MSPs,” Alfonso said. “Vicarius helps transform traditional patching and risk detection into a high-value remediation service. With seamless access through Pax8 and full enablement support, MSPs can expand their security offerings and stand out in a competitive market.”
