1. Momentum: ServiceNow’s first quarter revenues were $788.9 million, up 34 percent vs. the corresponding quarter last year. 2. ServiceNow Partner Strategy: CEO John Donahoe bet ServiceNow's partner strategy on David Parsons, a VMware veteran who joined ServiceNow as senior VP, global alliances and channel ecosystem, in October 2018. Donahoe praised Parsons during the company's April 2019 earnings call. We'll share updates directly from Parsons in the days ahead.

3. Partner Honor Part One: Linium, a Ness Digital Engineering Company and IT consulting firm, is a 2019 ServiceNow Americas IT Workflow Partner of the Year.

4. Partner Honor Part Two: Ventech Solutions, a healthcare solutions provider, has achieved the ServiceNow Bronze Sales and Services Partner designation.

5, Partner Expansion: Crossfuze, a ServiceNow Gold Partner, has expanded its fixed-price, accelerated implementation services to encompass ServiceNow Project Portfolio Management (PPM) and Software Asset Management (SAM).

8. ServiceNow in the SMB Market: During the April 2019 earnings call, ServiceNow's executive team downplayed any chance the company would focus on the SMB market. The enterprise and upper midmarket dominate the company's time. We'll be watching to see if partners like CareWorx Fully Managed (see item 9 below) take ServiceNow down-market...

9. MSP Business Models: Keep a close eye on CareWorx Fully Managed -- a combination MSP formed through the December 2018 merger of CareWorx and Fully Managed. Several key industry veterans are associated with both companies, including:

  • Former IT Glue CEO Chris Day, an investor in Fully Managed;
  • Yogapedia CEO Sharleen Oborowsky, a director and co-founder at Fully Managed; and
  • CareWorx CEO Mark Scott, formerly CEO and co-founder of N-able Technologies, which SolarWinds acquired around 2010.
Kevin Thompson, CEO, SolarWinds

While Fully Managed is a traditional MSP, CareWorx offers managed IT services to senior care facilities. The company also partners with both ServiceWorks and SolarWinds -- two software firms that are heading for an ITSM showdown (see next item).

10. ITSM -  SolarWinds vs. ServiceNow: SolarWinds plans to launch SolarWinds Service Desk in the second quarter of 2019, with the intention of “disrupting” the ITSM market, according to CEO Kevin Thompson. ChannelE2E expects it to be a head-on counter to ServiceNow, though SolarWinds Service Desk will also go down-market into small businesses.

11. ServiceNow Managed Services: Stefanini, a $1 billion global IT provider, will discuss TotalCare, a long term managed service that maintains ServiceNow deployments for customers.
