Merger Creates $25.6 Million MSP

Peach Technologies has acquired Taylor Made Computer Solutions (TMCS), creating one of the United Kingdom's largest independent managed IT services providers (MSPs).

The combined firms have roughly 200 employees,  more than 1,000 customers; and annual sales of about US$25.6 million (or about £20m). The companies also offer such complementary IT services as:

  • Peach: Connectivity, mobile and telephony services and existing IT services.
  • TMCS: IT services, security, backup and disaster recovery solutions.

Key technology partners include Microsoft, Cisco Systems, VMware, BT, NEC and Ericsson-LG. The Peach and TMCS teams have different IT specializations.

Customers will gain a single point of contact for IT, telephony, and communications services, the companies say.

By combining forces with Peach we bring together a unique combination of talent that will provide an even bigger benefit for our customers and partners.”

Business Evolution

In an FAQ, the combined company addressed a range questions about short- and long-term business planning. Selected points included:

Product R&D: In the short term, there will be no impact to product offerings. Longer term, the business plans to develop a joint product roadmap to build on this acquisition. The goal: Continue to develop a model that makes Peach the most compelling MSP to work with in the UK.

Corporate Brand & Office Location: TMCS now operates as Taylor Made Computer Solutions – a Peach Technologies company. The firm will likely move to a joint branded company within the next year or two. The TMCS office will be moving to Peach's office in Whiteley.

IT Support, Service Level Agreements and Customer Contracts: SLAs and customer contracts remain unchanged. Current support channels remain open and staffed by the same service team customers have come to know. Future support may include expanded options.

Growth Strategy:  Looking ahead, Peach expects to blend "strong organic growth" while "making further complementary acquisitions," Peach Chairman Ian Brown indicated.
