This is Ntiva's fifth acquisition overall, and third since late 2017. Among the nuances to note:

  • Ntiva, founded in 2004, has expertise in managed IT, cloud and cybersecurity. The company had about 120 employees ahead of the deal, according to Ntiva's website -- though we're checking to see how recently that information has been updated. Key partners include Dell, Microsoft, Cisco, Datto and Google.
  • Network Alliance, founded in 1997,  is strong in the accounting and finance vertical. We're also checking on headcount figures.
  • The combined firm will have roughly 130 employees, according to a spokesperson, and serve roughly 600 customers.

Virginia MSPs Combine Businesses: Executive Perspectives

Describing the deal, Ntiva CEO Steven Freidkin said:

“We see enormous opportunity for both our clients and our employees by combining our skills and abilities, including the deep industry expertise in the accounting and finance field that Network Alliance brings to the table."

Added Network Alliance CEO Don Britton:

“This is the right time for us to join forces with Ntiva, to offer an even larger portfolio of solutions that can serve and protect our client base. This deal also gives our employees a way to cross-train and provide solid opportunities for career growth, which was an important part of our decision."

Mergers and Acquisitions: Ntiva Is A Repeat Buyer

Ntiva has extensive experience with mergers and acquisitions. The company has acquired five companies to date. The most recent deal ahead of Network Alliance involved Lore Systems Inc, a technology services firm that specializes in high level strategic consulting. Early, Ntiva acquired IN Communications in September 2017.
