Nashville-based Novatech, a managed IT and print services company backed by private equity firm Trivest Partners, has acquired Lafayette, Louisiana’s Copy & Camera, a provider of managed print services. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Copy & Camera will retain its name and staff, and will continue operating out of its own offices in Lafayette, as well as Houma, Louisiana and Beaumont, Texas.
Copy & Camera CEO Jeff Landgrave shifts to president of Novatech’s Louisiana market. Kathy Blanchard remains general manager of the Copy & Camera operations.
Landgrave commented on the deal:
“We were approached by several acquirers in the industry and spoke to all of them at some length. In the end, Novatech’s vision of the industry and forwarding-thinking management team align with our goals to provide world-class technology services. We are very excited to continue to operate in the Louisiana market as part of the Novatech team.”
Blanchard added:
“Like us, Novatech believes providing their customers with outstanding service quality is paramount. With their knowledge and experience in the managed print industry and our almost 60 years of servicing the Louisiana community, it was a great fit.”
Novatech’s Growth
Novatech – formerly known as NovaCopy – was founded in 1998 in Memphis before relocating its headquarters to Nashville in 2004. The company is a core portfolio company of Trivest Partners, the oldest private equity firm in the Southeast.
Novatech says it plans to continue expanding throughout the country. This is its 15th acquisition and its third of 2019. Earlier deals include:
- April 2019: DynaSis, an Atlanta, Georgia-based MSP
- January 2019: Consolidated Copier Services of Conyers, Georgia.
Describing the growth strategy, Novatech CEO Dan Cooper, said:
“As we seek to grow throughout the country, we’re reminded of Novatech’s mission to flourish as a team by delivering caring, efficient service and support to our customers and to each other. We deliver outstanding equipment and service performance beyond our customers’ expectations, and constantly work to improve our offerings to create a complete managed business environment. That’s what sets us apart from all the rest.”
The strategy appears to be working. The company has likely pushed beyond $100 million in annual revenue, though profit figures have not been disclosed. Novatech has 13 branches across the southern United States.
