NinjaOne Adds Built-In Remote Access to Simplify MSP Endpoint Management

NinjaOne has expanded its automated endpoint management platform with the launch of NinjaOne Remote, a native remote access capability designed for IT teams and MSPs. Instead of relying on separate tools, remote access now sits directly inside the NinjaOne Platform, where technicians already manage devices, apply patches, and automate routine work.

Remote access itself is not new, but the way it fits into daily IT work has become a growing problem. Teams are dealing with more remote and hybrid employees, more devices, and more security risk, often while switching between multiple tools just to resolve a single issue.

Rahul Hirani, Chief Product Officer at NinjaOne, told ChannelE2E that this friction was a consistent pain point raised by customers.

“We’ve seen firsthand how frustrating most traditional remote access tools can be for organizations - slow to connect, unnecessarily complicated, and unstable with frequent outages,” said Hirani. “On top of that, technicians have to jump between platforms to access their remote tools, which results in disjointed, error-prone workflows.”

According to Hirani, time pressure was a major driver behind building a native solution. “IT teams and MSPs are tight on time; they need quick, reliable, and natively integrated remote access tools so they can get the job done and move on to the next thing,” he said. “We built NinjaOne Remote to help them move faster, solve problems more efficiently, and deliver a better support experience every time.”

Why NinjaOne built a native remote tool

NinjaOne already integrates with third-party remote access products and plans to continue doing so, but integration alone was not enough to address customer frustrations.

“We do and will continue to integrate with other remote access products; it’s important to us that we work with whatever tool the customer determines is best for their environment,” Hirani said. “However, over the last decade, we’ve seen and heard customers suffering from the deficiencies and unreliability of many of the products in the market.”

For NinjaOne, building remote access directly into the platform was about reducing complexity. “Technicians need to be able to connect to devices in seconds and access troubleshooting tools in one easy-to-use interface, without switching platforms,” Hirani said. “Integrations still require moving between different tools, but our native solution delivers rapid, seamless connections with no extra jumps.”

Reducing tool sprawl for MSPs and IT teams

Many MSPs manage several remote access tools across different customers and environments, which can slow response times and increase mistakes.

“We are always looking to simplify customers’ IT operations,” Hirani said. “When remote access is separate from the device management platform where your technicians spend most of their day, those technicians lose time and the device context they need to resolve issues quickly when they switch between products.”

NinjaOne Remote is designed to remove that friction. “NinjaOne Remote eliminates that context-switching friction so technicians can connect in seconds from the same platform they use for monitoring, patching, and automation, making them more efficient and productive,” Hirani said.

Focus on security and everyday support

Because NinjaOne Remote is built into the platform, technicians can run multiple sessions, work in the background where appropriate, and resolve issues without interrupting users. End users can also securely access office machines through the NinjaOne End User Portal.

Security is built into the design, with support for standards such as FedRAMP Moderate, SOC 2 Type II and III, and ISO 27001, along with alignment to regulations including GDPR, CCPA, NIS 2, and HIPAA. Controls like encryption, access management, session logging, and automatic cleanup at session end are intended to reduce risk while keeping access flexible.

As IT environments become more distributed, teams are looking for fewer tools and clearer workflows. NinjaOne Remote reflects that shift by bringing remote access into the same place where endpoint work already happens. For IT teams and MSPs, the change is less about adding another feature and more about removing friction from everyday support.
