Aiming to help MSPs better protect customer IT systems from cyberattacks, ConnectWise has unveiled the latest version of its flagship SIEM security platform that is fortified with advanced tools and new enhancements.

Powered by ConnectWise Asio, the company’s unified, cloud-based IT management platform, the latest Connectwise Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system is being touted by the company as an improved product that delivers advanced threat detection, intelligent automation, and full visibility in one streamlined application.

Built specifically for MSPs, the platform was designed to enable MSPs to expand their service offerings, drive recurring revenue, and scale more efficiently as they grow their businesses to serve more customers. ConnectWise SIEM’s redesigned interface integrates with the ConnectWise Security Dashboard, which was formerly known as ConnectWise Security360.

The new version of ConnectWise SIEM brings together log management, faster threat detection and response, lower incident response times, flexible pricing and data tiering to reduce storage and ingestion costs, lower false positive rates, as well as automated alert triage and ticket creation for productivity gains, according to the company.

“ConnectWise SIEM provides automated workflows that reduce the manual workloads on already understaffed security teams, enabling mainstream technicians to perform tasks traditionally handled by specialists, eliminating the need to hire costly experts,” John Helms, director of product management at ConnectWise, told ChannelE2E. “By unifying disjointed security tools into a single platform, it removes operational blind spots, accelerates threat response, and reduces costs, ultimately helping MSPs deliver stronger protection and more efficient service to their customers.”

The new SIEM platform is built to help MSPs deliver enterprise-level security with fewer resources, said Helms. “Legacy SIEM tools are often too complex, costly, and fragmented for MSP environments. What is changing is a shift toward more modern, purpose-built solutions like ConnectWise SIEM. Powered by the Asio platform, it simplifies operations, automates routine tasks, and empowers MSPs to respond faster and more effectively – without increasing headcount or overhead.”

Improved SIEM is Always Welcome for Customers: Analysts

Jack E. Gold, president and principal analyst with J. Gold Associates, LLC, told ChannelE2E the latest platform release from ConnectWise is important to help businesses stay ahead of cyberattacks and threats.

“MSPs need to conserve resources as much as possible to maintain their profitability and enable scale, so a more efficient and effective suite of products is welcome news for MSPs,” said Gold. “This sounds more like an update of their existing tools than anything really new. That said, any update that makes things easier for companies to manage is an important step forward.”

Another analyst,Shelly Kramer, founder and principal analyst with Kramer & Co., told ChannelE2E that the new platform will certainly help businesses in their cybersecurity battles against unseen enemies and threats.

“Some of the biggest problems organizations face today on the cybersecurity front include visibility challenges, alert fatigue, the ability to appropriately identify and mitigate threats, the complexity of the tech stack as a whole, cost control and management, and a lack of skilled talent to help navigate these challenges,” said Kramer. “What we are seeing across the industry is an attractive opportunity for MSPs to step up and better serve their customers and grow revenue in the process. We continue to see tech vendors developing platforms and solutions to help them do that. While I do not think that what ConnectWise has done here is particularly novel, its next-gen SIEM offering addresses these customer pain points and helps the MSP community meet and address those challenges.”
