Nerdio Manager for MSP 6.0 Brings Unified Microsoft 365 and AVD Management to the Forefront

MS13-061 was scrapped after Microsoft became aware that installing it causes problems.

Nerdio has launched version 6.0 of its Nerdio Manager for MSP platform, an update aimed at streamlining how managed service providers (MSPs) oversee Microsoft 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments. While Nerdio has long focused on automation for AVD, this latest release significantly expands its capabilities for Microsoft 365 management—addressing a growing need among MSPs supporting diverse SMB customers.

The 6.0 release introduces tools designed to reduce operational complexity, strengthen security, and improve automation. Unlike traditional Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) tools that treat Microsoft 365 and AVD as separate domains, Nerdio Manager integrates both into a unified platform. This shift helps MSPs avoid tool sprawl while providing more consistent and efficient service delivery.

Key capabilities in NMM 6.0 include dynamic Auto-Scale Profiles that allow resources to scale based on workload, tenant-specific monitoring for real-time visibility, and support for Azure Government and high-compliance environments. These updates enable MSPs to meet the security demands of regulated industries while also improving resource planning and incident response.

Other notable additions include Application Discovery for Images, which automates app inventory tracking during image creation, and an early-access UI refresh that enhances the admin experience. Taken together, these enhancements reflect Nerdio’s continued effort to help MSPs modernize operations by combining endpoint management, automation, and security into a single interface tailored to Microsoft’s evolving cloud ecosystem.

Built for MSPs Managing Microsoft 365 and AVD at Scale

For MSPs, the release of Nerdio Manager for MSP 6.0 means less time juggling fragmented tools and more time focused on delivering value to their clients. By consolidating Microsoft 365 and AVD management into a single interface, MSPs can streamline routine tasks, automate complex workflows, and reduce the operational burden that often comes with managing multiple tenants. This helps free up technical resources and allows teams to scale their support operations more efficiently—especially critical for those serving SMBs with growing cloud footprints.

The enhanced security and compliance features in NMM 6.0 also open new opportunities for MSPs to serve clients in regulated industries. With built-in support for CIS benchmarks and Azure Government environments, MSPs can more confidently pursue government contracts and work with clients that require strict adherence to compliance standards. In a market where security expectations continue to rise, these capabilities help MSPs stay competitive and better align with their customers’ risk management priorities.
