NuMSP, a nationwide MSP headquartered in Clifton, New Jersey, has acquired Albuquerque, New Mexico-based managed service provider J and J Technical Services.
J and J offers IT services for small and midsize businesses. The deal will allow NuMSP to enter the Albuquerque market, the company said.
Jim Griffith, CEO of NuMSP commented on the deal:
"With over 20 years in business and numerous industry awards, J and J Technical Services and NuMSP share the same mission of helping clients by providing innovative IT solutions. With this approach it is easy to understand how John and his team have built one of the largest MSPs in Albuquerque. This team will allow NuMSP to continue its goal of being the premier provider of IT services to the SMB market in New Mexico."
John Freienmuth, CEO and founder of J and J Technical Services, added:
"Since our launch in 1996, we committed to a few simple but critical core values to improve client's businesses through innovative IT solutions and an unwavering dedication to total customer satisfaction. We're very proud to have built J and J into one of the largest and most recognized managed services provider in New Mexico and couldn't be more excited to continue our growth by joining forces with NuMSP. I have been approached many times over the years with M&A opportunities, one thing that was always a top priority to me was handing off my clients and my staff to a team that was poised to take them both to the next level. NuMSP is just that!"
NuMSP Wants To Build A Nationwide MSP
This mark’s NuMSP’s 12 acquisition since it was founded in 2018. At least five of those deals were in 2019 alone. NuMSP is directly competing with entrenched solutions providers from Fortune 500 companies by creating a nationwide company with the scale and resources to deliver advanced IT services to SMBs, the company said.
Indeed, NuMSP has expressed interest in buying just about any MSP that is looking to sell. On its website, the company prominently displays a headline saying that visitors should consider selling their MSP. “If you own an IT services company and are considering selling as an option, we would love to speak with you at your earliest convenience,” the website says.
Among the NuMSP deals that ChannelE2E has tracked:
- NetFusion, a managed IT services provider in Los Angeles
- AZBS, a Chicago-based full-service MSP that serves SMBs.
- a business arm of Corporate Technologies in March 2019.
- Sacramento, California’s Salient IT;
- Ultimate Technical Solutions Inc (UTSI) of New Orleans, Louisiana; and
- Network Medics, an MSP in Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota.
Amid those deals, ChannelE2E is hearing chatter about NuMSP potentially standardizing on ConnectWise Manage for business management, PSA (professional services automation) and ticketing services. However, some of the acquired MSPs will need to be migrated to the platform in the weeks and months ahead. We're listening closely for updates.
