Contegix Acquires Atlassian Partner Equip

St. Louis-based cloud application services provider Contegix has made its fourth acquisition in three years with the buyout of Equip, an Atlassian professional services firm and Platinum Solution Provider.

Contegix says the deal makes it the first full-stack Atlassian service provider to deliver a single source for license management, migration, hybrid cloud hosting, implementation, and tier 1 through tier 3 support.

Contegix has been providing Atlassian application hosting for more than 14 years, and with this deal will expand its managed hosting services. That includes providing what the company calls advanced end-to-end Atlassian services coupled with secure environments, including FedRAMP compliant solutions.

“The acquisition of Equip now gives us the certified Atlassian expertise and experience to serve our customers through the full-stack and ongoing support of the Atlassian application,” said David Turner, CEO of Contegix. “This full stack of Atlassian offerings including license management, migration, implementation, and secure hosting allows Contegix to fully deploy Atlassian tools and deliver on our Go Beyond commitment to our customers.”

Founded in 2013 by Mick Flanigan, Equip now has offices in Portland, Oregon and Seattle, Washington. Flanigan will come on board to lead the company’s professional services team.

The combined company has more than 265 employees and more than 1,000 customers across the public and private sectors.

The Growth of Contegix

This is Contegix’s fourth acquisition since the company was acquired by Austin,Texas-based private equity firm Strattam Capital in 2016.

Shortly after receiving the new investment, Contegix acquired Distributed Systems Services, an IT infrastructure solutions provider, and Admo.net Web Services, a Kansas City, Missouri-based cloud and managed-services provider.

In June 2017, Contegix bought Ashburn, Virginia’s BlackMesh, a cloud services provider with a specialty in web content management application hosting and secure compliance solutions.
