In addition to serving IT channel partners, CompTIA has moved aggressively toward training and education initiatives for all types of IT professionals. Moreover, the organization has industry advisory councils that now span business applications, channel, blockchain, drone and smart city initiatives.

Also of note: Former CompTIA board member and MSP industry veteran Amy Kardel recently joined the organization full-time as VP of strategic workforce relationships. The newly created position reinforces CompTIA's efforts to help organizations recruit, mentor and train technology-savvy employees.

Those themes and more will likely take center stage during ChannelCon 2019, set for August in Las Vegas.
