A. Today’s Tech, Channel and MSP News

1. SEC continues SolarWinds investigation - Bloomberg is reporting that the US Securities and Exchange Commission is asking tech and telecom companies how they handled the 2020 SolarWinds cyberattack. The SEC has been refining its inquiries Bloomberg said, citing unnamed sources. The regulator has asked for internal communications about the cyber-assault’s impact, probing for gaps in corporate security and for other cyber incidents.

2. Data protection deal - CrowdStrike and Rubrik has forged a strategic partnership to accelerate data security transformation and stop breaches of critical information. By unifying rich, data-centric attack context from the Rubrik Security Cloud CrowdStrike Falcon XDR platform, organizations can rapidly detect, investigate and stop attacks targeting sensitive data.

3. Cyberresilience not so good - Only 3% of organizations across the globe have the 'Mature' level of readiness needed to be resilient against modern cybersecurity risks, according to Cisco's 2024 Cybersecurity Readiness Index. Released today, the Index highlights that readiness is down significantly from one year ago, when 15% of companies were ranked mature.

4. New CRO - N2WS has appointed Alon Maimoni as its new chief revenue officer. He brings a wealth of experience in revenue architecture, marketing, sales, and SaaS leadership, making him an invaluable asset to N2WS as it enters its next phase of growth.In past roles, Maimoni has raised millions in venture capital funds and increased annual recurring revenue by over seven times to more than $200 million.

5. Distribution partnership for access - Cyolo, which provides a distributed secure remote access platform for industrial enterprise customers,, has forged a new partnership with distributor TD Synnex. The partnership empowers TD Synnex and Cyolo partners to tap into the increased enterprise demand of Secure Remote Access in operational technology (OT), critical infrastructure, cyber physical environments, and their corresponding buying centers.
