A. Today’s Tech, Channel and MSP News

1. IPO? - Cloud-based file sharing service provider Egnyte has hired underwriters for an initial public offering (IPO) in New York that could value it at more than $3 billion, according to people familiar with the matter, according to a Reuters report.

2. Cybersecurity partnership - Happiest Minds Technologies Limited a Bengaluru, India-based IT consulting and services company will leverage SecureWorks XDR services for cybersecurty as a member of the Secureworks Global MSSP Partner program.

3. Cloud data management services growing - Cloud data management services are a growth area. NetApp raised its annual profit forecast citing higher businesses spending on cloud-based data management services for digital transformation

4. Embracing managed services - At the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024, Huawei unveiled four new solutions for Internet Service Providers (ISPs)/MSP. For ISPs transforming to MSPs, Huawei is providing the Fixed Access Network (FAN) Sharing Solution, which is designed for building multi-tenant networks and enabling fast service provisioning for small and mid-sized ISPs. ISPs can leverage their advantages in private line services that are based on software-defined wide area network (SD-WAN), internet protocol (IP), or multiprotocol label switching (MPLS) to expand their hosting services to campus networks. 

5. Ivanti vulnerability advisory - CISA (The Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency) has issued a cybersecurity advisory around the multiple vulnerabilities in Ivanti Connect Secure and Policy Secure Gateways. Immediate actions include limiting outbound internet connections from SSL VPN appliances, keeping all operating systems and firmware up to date, and limiting SSL connections to unpriviledged accounts.
