AvePoint Targets MSP Growth with New Security and Optimization Capabilities in Elements

Data Leaks

AvePoint has added new capabilities to its Elements Platform aimed at helping managed service providers (MSPs) reduce operational complexity, boost client security, and unlock margin through license and storage optimization.

These updates come as MSPs face growing demand to consolidate tools, improve cost transparency, and move upmarket with more strategic, security-centric services. With a focus on automation, insight, and integrated workflows, the Elements Platform continues to evolve to meet these shifting partner priorities.

Marketplace Integration Streamlines Procurement

Managing licenses and subscriptions across multiple vendors can be a logistical drain on MSP operations. AvePoint now allows partners to procure and provision tenants directly within the Elements Platform, eliminating the need to toggle between portals and reducing the risk of missed renewals or billing errors.

“The shift to marketplaces has been extraordinary, and they will continue to be the modern way for an MSP to transact and build out their portfolio,” said Scott Sacket, Senior Vice President of Partner Strategy at AvePoint. “We want to leverage this momentum and have created a seamless experience within Elements, where they can procure and provision tenants and users all within the same pane of glass. Simplified procurement, integration, and automation are all themes of what we are building and what the partner community has been asking for to enable their own scale and growth.”

License and Storage Optimization Boosts Margins

AvePoint’s latest features give MSPs visibility into unused or inactive licenses and enable automation for reassignment, helping clients avoid unnecessary spending. Storage optimization features also allow partners to archive data more efficiently and align with compliance requirements.

“Partners and customers are continuing to leverage M365 aggressively, buying premium workloads for many in their organization and creating data at record numbers,” Sacket said.

“With our newest solutions, we are enabling our partners to gain greater insights into license adoption and cost management, as well as create logic based on metadata to remove ROT data from M365 and move to less expensive [storage], instead of just buying additional storage since you passed your quota. Both will help our partners create better cost efficiencies and optimize the experience for their customers.”

User Risk Insights Support Premium Security Services

Security remains a top concern as MSPs look to expand managed services offerings and support customers deploying new AI tools like Microsoft Copilot. The new Risk User Insight feature helps detect anomalous behavior across identity, endpoint, and configuration layers, giving MSPs the tools to offer proactive security services at scale.

“All of the above,” Sacket said when asked if the feature supports premium services, differentiation, or liability reduction. “Security is the #1 reason partners and customers are not deploying and adopting tools like Copilot at the expected rate. Partners need to have premium solutions that eliminate these barriers and differentiate their offerings. The Elements Platform is offering this for our partners at multiple levels - user, data, and workspace.”

These latest updates build on AvePoint’s 2025 channel roadmap, including its earlier Elements relaunch and the acquisition of identity governance firm Ydentic. By offering tools that go beyond IT support and into cost optimization and security advisory, AvePoint is reinforcing its commitment to helping MSPs grow more consultatively, and profitably.
