11. Partnership - GP and SAP: GP Strategies is offering a so-called "digital user-adoption solution" for SAP enterprise software. This new solution, based on SAP Enable Now, is named GP Workforce Improvement Solutions for Enterprise (WISE).
10. Juniper Financial Results: Juniper Networks' revenues were $1.18 billion for Q4 2018, down 5 percent year over year. However net income was $192.2 million -- a big improvement compared to a $148.1 million net loss in Q4 2017. CEO Rami Rahim conceded that the company is disappointed with its latest financial performance. In a generic statement, he assured shareholders that Juniper is taking steps to drive improved sales execution.
9. Talent - Business Automation Software: Tigerpaw Software has named Chris Owen its new director of development. Owen previously held key IT-related posts at Gallup and Hayneedle. His areas of expertis include ERP, EDI, WMS and BI application development teams. He now oversees 17 Tigepaw developers, product analysts and quality assurance engineers.
8. Talent - Ernst & Young CEO: EY has named Carmine Di Sibio as the company's next global chairman and CEO, effective from 1 July 2019. Di Sibio will succeed CEO Mark Weinberger, who will step down when the transition is official.
7. Partner Program - Data Protection: Unitrends, a Kaseya company, has launched a new Unitrends Xtra channel partner program. The initiative offers to 75 percent greater margin vs. rival backup and disaster recovery (BDR) solutions, the company claims -- though we haven't seen Kaseya's actual math. The partner program push seems to target potential Veeam and Commvault partners.
6. Partnership - Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI): Cumulus and Nutanix are partnering to build and operate modern data centers with open networking software, the two companies say.
