This is M&A deal Number 134 that ChannelE2E has covered so far in 2020. See the complete M&A deal list here.

This is TIG’s second deal since receiving an investment from BGF in July 2018. In January 2019, TIG acquired netConsult, an IT consultancy in the financial services sector.

Explaining the acquisition, TIG CEO Des Lekerman said:

“It’s a great time to have the capability and expertise to provide these services, as the need and appetite for digital transformation, and for data insights, has never been greater. We are proud to welcome everyone at MMR IT to TiG and I look forward to the next phase of our journey together."

MMRIT and TIG: Company Backgrounds

MMRIT was founded approximately 30 years ago, delivering solutions and services to clients mainly in the financial services and legal sectors. The combination of TIG and MMRIT will have more than 150 employees, the company said, the majority of whom are technical experts in public cloud transformation, data analytics, cybersecurity, and service management.

MMRIT is now known as “MMRIT, Part of TiG Group,” the firm’s website indicates.

TIG is headquartered in Watford with offices in London. The company was founded in 2001 and taken over by the current leadership team in 2013. TIG is a Microsoft Gold Partner for Cloud Productivity and Cloud Platform.
