Ensono, a ChannelE2E 100 company, has acquired Attenda. The deal combines a Chicago-based IT services provider with a UK-based MSP. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Ensono, which has about 700 employees, claims to work across all major IT platforms - mainframe to cloud, and everything in between. The company, formerly named Acxiom IT, was acquired by Charlesbank Capital Partners and M/C Partners in 2015.

Founded in 1997, Attenda specializes in running mission-critical applications across financial services, media, business services, retail and other vertical markets. The company did not disclose headcount, but LinkedIn lists it as 201 to 500 people.

Ensono's CEO Vision

"Ensono's expertise in managing mission-critical operations, coupled with the standardized platforms and services of Attenda in managed public and private cloud, helps accelerate Ensono's strategy to enable its clients to operate seamlessly across multiple environments," said Jeff VonDeylen, CEO of Ensono, in a prepared statement.

VonDeylen will lead the combined company. Mark Fowle, co-founder and CEO of Attenda, will join the Ensono Board of Directors and work to ensure a smooth transition and continued support with client relationships and strategic direction. The announcement didn't state whether Fowle will have a day-to-day position at the combined companies.
