3. Alvarez Technology Group  Inc.

Focus: BillHero, launched by a former MSP executive, improves the financial lives and relationships through split bill pay. Users can now split and “pay” any bill, rent, or IOU rather than just pay each other back. Through BillHero users can pay any bill securely through bank, debit card, or credit card either individually, from a sponsor/parent, or as a group.

6. BlackBerry

Focus: BlackBerry has shifted from its classic cellphone focus toward securing a connected world — all end points , from cars to smartphones. BlackBerry expects to realize approximately $160 million in GAAP revenue from the acquisition of Good Technology in the first year, including the impact of an expected write-down of certain deferred revenue of Good.

Focus: The Microsoft partner, focused on change management, raised $6.4 million in Series A funding and launched the BrainStorm Partner Program information.

8. Buffalo Computer Help (a.k.a. Globalquest)

9. Business Complete Solutions

bcs2015 Milestone: Acquired StarPoint Advantage.
HQ: San Diego, California.
Focus: Business Complete Solutions (BCS) is an office equipment reseller in the San Diego area. Neighboring StarPoint Advantage is an MSP. The duo confirmed BCS’s buyout of StarPoint in December 2015.
Specialty: IT service provider.

10. Carbonite

HQ: Boston, Massachusetts.
Focus: Carbonite is pushing beyond its consumer-centric cloud backup service and building a channel ecosystem to reach small and midsize businesses. Several major executive and channel team hires could fuel that effort.
Specialty: Cloud services provider.
