IT Consulting M&A: Endava Acquires Lexicon Digital

IT services and IT consulting firm Endava has acquired Lexicon Digital and Lexicon Consolidated Holdings for an undisclosed amount.

Endava, founded in 2000, is based in London, UK. The company has 10,612 employees listed on LinkedIn. Endava’s areas of expertise include digital strategy, continuous delivery, DevOps, digital execution, applications management, UX/creative services, testing services, distributed agile development, service desk, cloud, insight through data, digital evolution, agile transformation and automation.

Lexicon, founded in 2016, is based in Melbourne, Australia. The company has 152 employees listed on LinkedIn. Lexicon’s areas of expertise include agile software delivery, organizational change, DevOps, lean, design thinking, program management, project management, architecture, agile, coaching, product design, software development, mobile development, UX design, UI design, accelerate, co-create, digital ventures, strategy, digital transformation and platform acceleration.

Lexicon’s clients include Australia’s market companies in the insurance and wealth management sectors and an array of companies in other sectors, including entertainment, retail, agribusiness and automotive. In the year ending June 30, 2022, 94% of Lexicon’s revenue was from Australian clients and 6% from the U.S., with close to 90% of revenue from large corporates, according to the company.

Lexicon has staff in Melbourne, Sydney and Vietnam.

The acquisition of Lexicon enhances Endava’s existing presence in Australia, the company said. Lexicon also provides Endava with a nearshore delivery location in Vietnam which complements the company’s existing operations in Singapore and Malaysia, Endava said.
