CenturyLink Cloud Marketplace Offers CloudJumper WaaS

CloudJumper's workspace as a service (WaaS) platform has surfaced in the CenturyLink Cloud Marketplace.

CloudJumper's platform supports access to more than 2,200 business applications and user data within a cloud desktop interface. CenturyLink sounds impressed with the platform's reach and capabilities.

“Cloud-based IT workspaces are becoming increasingly popular as business migration to the cloud continues its meteoric rise. CloudJumper Cloud Workspace is well-suited for our customers and is an effective complement to the cloud services we offer,” said David Shacochis, vice president of Hybrid IT product management, CenturyLink. “

Although desktop as a service (DaaS) and WaaS have faced technical and business model challenges in the channel, CloudJumper appears to be gaining momentum. Sales of its workspace platform jumped more than 200 percent from 2016 to 2017. At the time, the company claimed the growth was thanks to the expansion of its sales channel, which doubled in size last year. Actual revenue figures, however, were not disclosed.

Still, anecdotal evidence suggests CloudJumper continues to gain momentum. The company and Continuum a few weeks ago unveiled a partnership to drive MSP engagements together. Moreover, some major MSPs are embracing CloudJumper's technology.
