Lexful raises $7M to build AI-native documentation for MSPs

Businessmen use laptops to access information in online documents. through the protection system.Document Management System (DMS), online documentation database, and digital file storage system.

Lexful has closed a $7 million seed round to expand its AI-native IT documentation platform for managed services providers. The round was led by Top Down Ventures and York IE. The company announced the funding at Pax8 Beyond and said the capital will support product development, ecosystem integrations, partner enablement, and global expansion.

The Salt Lake City company is building a secure documentation platform designed specifically for MSPs. Lexful focuses on a familiar problem inside managed services: documentation that is outdated, hard to search or stuck with individual technicians. The platform is designed to automatically capture, maintain, and connect knowledge across MSP environments so teams can find accurate information faster during service delivery.

Lexful first previewed the platform in February with a limited set of integrations. General availability is planned for July, with broader integrations and additional AI-native features. The company said it already supports integrations with PSA and RMM tools, including Autotask, ConnectWise, NinjaOne, and HaloPSA. Lexful also said it has an MCP Server in the market, SOC 2 Type 2 compliance, and marketplace relationships with Pax8 and Sherweb.

For MSPs, documentation is becoming more tied to efficiency, technician onboarding, service consistency, and AI adoption. Poor documentation slows response times and makes it harder to scale repeatable service delivery across clients. Lexful is positioning its platform as a system of record for MSP knowledge operations, with plans to invest further in AI agents, in-region data residency, ecosystem integrations, and partner support.
