ControlUp has acquired Unipath, adding an agentic AI automation layer to its Digital Employee Experience platform. The move advances ControlUp’s Autonomous Endpoint Management strategy by shifting remediation from prebuilt scripts to self-learning automation. The combined platform is designed to observe employee interactions, diagnose endpoint issues in real time, and generate remediations without IT teams having to design, script, or maintain workflows.ControlUp already operates on high-frequency telemetry, collecting endpoint data every three seconds to detect issues early and trigger action. Unipath adds a decisioning and automation framework that can interpret context, determine the right response, and adapt based on outcomes. Together, this enables a remediation model that improves over time, responds dynamically to real-world conditions, and reduces the need for manual intervention from helpdesk or operations teams. The acquisition also broadens ControlUp’s automation scope beyond IT operations into security and response workflows. Unipath’s technology brings experience in contextual analysis, automated incident handling, and aligning signals from multiple systems into a single operational view. These capabilities support faster remediation cycles and allow IT teams to focus on oversight and validation rather than ongoing automation upkeep.ControlUp plans to integrate Unipath into the ControlUp ONE platform in phases through 2026. The roadmap spans three layers: real-time insight from continuous telemetry, conversational self-service for employees, and agentic AI that generates and refines remediations based on results. Early access will be offered to select customers and partners as ControlUp expands its approach to autonomous endpoint operations.
