Presidio Embraces Cisco HyperFlex, Seeks More Acquisitions

Presidio, the massive Cisco Systems channel partner, is gearing up for the networking company's new hyperconverged platform -- dubbed HyperFlex. Moreover, Presidio CTO Vinu Thomas says the company sees key opportunities to train its engineers on the technology.

Presidio has been growing organically and through M&A, acquiring such companies as Netech and Sequoia Worldwide in recent months. Netech is mostly a regional play to expand Presidio's footprint in the central U.S. region. Sequoia, in stark contrast, is more of an IT consulting and DevOps play to accelerate Presidio's own software development, along with private and hybrid cloud solutions.

ChannelE2E asked Thomas to describe Presidio's plans for HyperFlex. We also asked how Presidio will train its engineers on the technology -- especially amid the Netech and Sequoia buyouts. We captured Thomas's answers and perspectives in this quick video.

Toward the end of the video, Thomas confirms that Presidio remains in the market for more acquisitions. But finding the right targets? Now that's the real challenge.
